Operations Coordinator - GTI

SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION:
The GTI Operations Coordinator coordinates order picking operations and truck loading with the existing team. The incumbent is responsible for handling all requests related to the validity of picking operations and for ensuring compliance.
KEY AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Validate the compliance of picking operations and fleet loading for Groupe Tomapure;
Train team members on the various shipping specifications of Groupe Tomapure;
Validate all Groupe Tomapure product labels;
Handle all ad hoc requests related to shift operations;
Resolve operational issues related to their role;
Ensure that occupational health and safety rules and procedures are respected;
Verify temperature readings for each load;
Actively participate in activities and compliance with occupational health and safety prevention standards;
Understand and enforce health and safety prevention standards;
Act as a role model and foster a culture of quality, prevention, and safety;
Apply and enforce internal standards, policies, and procedures, and participate in the review of the company’s safety and quality standards;
Participate in the development of policies and programs within the operations department;
Ensure that all employees are informed of their responsibilities related to food safety and regulatory requirements, that they understand their role in complying with SQF Food Safety Code requirements for storage and distribution, and that they are aware of their responsibility to report any food safety issues to authorized personnel;
Ensure the integrity and continuous operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or staffing changes within the company and/or related facilities;
Understand SQF standard requirements related to the responsibilities of this position;
Comply with the company’s SQF procedures and apply the relevant tools in the performance of duties;
Perform any other related tasks.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience;
Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in management or equivalent experience;
Bilingualism: French and English, spoken and written;
Experience in a unionized environment;
Experience in occupational health and safety prevention;
Knowledge of the Produce Pro (WMS) system;
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint);
Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment;
Compliance with the company’s internal policies.
