HR Director

Reports to: Vice President, Finance and Administration

SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION:
In alignment with the strategic objectives of organizational performance and profitability, the incumbent plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates activities related to the Human Resources department. The role includes developing policies and procedures and implementing programs related to organizational development, growth and talent management, recruitment, training and development, recognition, compensation administration and job classification, benefits, health and safety, and labour relations. The incumbent actively participates in the executive committee and continuously manages relations between management and employees. All services are provided to Hector Larivée Inc. and Tomapure Inc. The incumbent adheres to the company’s vision, mission, and values.
Main Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a high level of quality in HR service content and delivery;
- Communicate and promote the company’s vision, mission, and values and ensure employee engagement;
- Recommend best practices, solutions, alerts, and impacts related to human resources management to senior management;
- Ensure HR programs and policies comply with existing laws and standards and align with company performance and profitability objectives;
- Stay informed of best practices, market trends, and applicable laws and regulations;
- Identify new HR tools and methods to improve efficiency and performance of managers and employees.
Develop, communicate, implement, supervise, and evaluate HR programs and policies:
- Develop HR programs and policies in specific areas, including the following:
- Organizational development, growth, and talent management;
- Performance management and evaluations;
- Recruitment and onboarding;
- Training and development;
- Workforce planning and succession;
- Compensation administration, job classification, and benefits;
- Recognition and motivation;
- Health and safety;
- Labour relations.
- Develop communication tools and content; organize and lead information and training sessions related to HR programs and policies;
- Define management responsibilities, decision-making processes, and delegate responsibilities as required;
- Evaluate HR policies and programs, implement required changes, and communicate updates;
- Negotiate contracts and manage mandates with suppliers and consultants when required.
Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate HR activities;
- Act as a management coach to leaders;
- Ensure HR activities align with strategic performance and profitability objectives;
- Ensure HR actions are ethical, professional, legally compliant, and aligned with existing policies and programs;
- Provide continuous support and guidance regarding the application and interpretation of HR policies and programs.
Prepare and distribute corporate information to employees;
- Develop and assess internal communication tools;
- Prepare content and communicate strategic and corporate information.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Human Resources Management.
- Recognized professional HR designation such as CRHA or CRIA.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an HR Director or HR Specialist across multiple HR disciplines, including coaching and people management.
